Build and Wire: Summer Trades Skills Camp              LLCC Taylorville

This hands‑on, project‑driven camp is designed for students interested in exploring skilled‑trades careers. Over three weeks, you’ll learn to safely use construction tools, wire basic circuits, troubleshoot electrical components, and complete woodworking projects such as building your own end table. Each day blends practical instruction from industry‑experienced faculty with guided lab time using real tools, equipment, and materials.

You’ll get plenty of personalized support as you build confidence, learn foundational skills, and discover how electrical, carpentry, and construction careers power the world around us. Whether you’re considering a future apprenticeship, technical training, or just love to build things, this camp gives you a strong start and a fun, hands‑on introduction to the trades.
