This hands‑on,
project‑driven camp is designed for students interested in exploring skilled‑trades
careers. Over three weeks, you’ll learn to safely use construction tools, wire
basic circuits, troubleshoot electrical components, and complete woodworking
projects such as building your own end table. Each day blends practical
instruction from industry‑experienced faculty with guided lab time using real
tools, equipment, and materials.
You’ll get plenty of
personalized support as you build confidence, learn foundational skills, and
discover how electrical, carpentry, and construction careers power the world
around us. Whether you’re considering a future apprenticeship, technical training,
or just love to build things, this camp gives you a strong start and a fun,
hands‑on introduction to the trades.
NOTE: Participants must wear closed-toed shoes and long pants for
safety.
